Tea, as a popular beverage in Hong Kong, is rich of local culture. With photo images and textual descriptions, this exhibition illustrates the uniqueness of Hong Kong’s tea culture. Starting from its Chinese tea origin, it will showcase that tea culture is not only a fusion of east and west and internationally diverse, but also full of Hong Kong characteristics. The themes covered include Cantonese tea house culture, origin of tea restaurants (Cha Chaan Teng), and the evolution of Hong Kong-style milk tea.
