Renowned Chinese painter Huang Yongyu incorporated both Western and Eastern influences in his paintings, establishing his iconic status in Chinese contemporary art.  Director Yonfan, who took over 1,000 portraits of Huang, has always hoped to document his life through film.  In 2012, three days before the Year of the Dragon, Huang, accompanied by his daughter Heini, welcomed Yonfan in his studio, sharing stories of his life, creative inspiration, and his thoughts on life and death.
