Mulan is a dance drama based on the beloved story of family devotion, loyalty and love elaborated in the ancient Ballad of Mulan. The plot centres around the heroic endeavour of a young woman who disguises herself as a man to take her father’s place in the army. She embarks on a journey of self-discovery that takes her into the battle fields, yet through which she ultimately finds love, peace and freedom.
