Phoenixes and Bees Dance out New Tunes, as Rhythm Flows in Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon

Founded in 1952, Shanghai Chinese Orchestra is the first large-scale modern Chinese orchestra in China. Through this compilation, the Orchestra attempts to present the beauty of Chinese music through the blending of traditional and modern styles. New Oriental Chinese Music Scene includes Landscape Around the Lake inspired by the scenery of Jiangnan, Tan Dun’ s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, the profound artistic realm in Spirit of Chinese Calligraphy, the depiction of the contention in CHU-HAN War, the contemporary fusion showcasing the diverse charm of suona in Phoenix Dance, and the newly arranged classic melody Flying Bees.
